Objective
Atlantis Submarines Cozumel, in its mission to provide an extraordinary vacation experience, seeks and implements long-term solutions to economic and environmental challenges in order to support sustainable development.
Description
The company is committed to respecting and preserving the cultural diversity and natural environment of Cozumel Island by carrying out activities classified as sustainable. These activities comply with all applicable regulations and prioritize safety and service quality while remaining competitive and responsive to customer needs. In line with this commitment, the following guidelines are promoted and implemented:
1. Ensure compliance with applicable legal frameworks to uphold social and environmental responsibility at both local and national levels, including:
a. Mexican legislation that protects social, cultural, and environmental rights, as well as the psychosocial well-being of employees.
b. International commitments aimed at contributing to the reduction of pollutant emissions.
2. Identify, prevent, reduce, and mitigate the environmental impacts of the company’s operations.
3. Raise environmental awareness among employees, suppliers, and customers through:
a. Promoting good social practices that foster a fair, respectful, and positive work environment.
b. Developing and encouraging social and environmental best practices, including water and energy conservation.
c. Implementing technological processes that reduce excessive resource consumption.
d. Providing awareness and education through written and verbal communication.
4. Develop programs for the Reduction, Recycling, and Reuse of waste, ensuring its proper disposal at the end of its useful life and promoting the consumption of local products.
5. Continuously monitor the company's performance by evaluating and verifying compliance with objectives such as:
a. Minimizing direct and indirect environmental impacts.
b. Ensuring that activities support the efficient use of natural resources, including water, fuel, and energy.
c. Evaluating the effectiveness of initiatives proposed by the Sustainability Department and reporting on their performance.
d. Supporting the psychosocial well-being of employees.
Compliance with this Policy aims to ensure a sustainable supply chain over time and to maintain responsibility toward society and the environment.
This Policy is communicated internally and publicly and is shared with the stakeholders of Atlantis Submarines Coz. The continued operation of the company shall constitute sufficient evidence of acceptance of this Policy and require compliance with its provisions.
Atlantis Submarines Coz implements and maintains a Sustainability Management System that integrates its Environmental Management System and Energy Management System to ensure legal compliance, risk management, continuous improvement of environmental and energy performance, and the protection of the natural environment in which it operates.
